Your adventure begins after breakfast as your Chipmunk Expeditions guide picks you up for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, a reserve famous for its huge elephant populations and ancient baobab trees that tower across the landscape. As you enter the park, the environment shifts to a blend of river valleys, open woodlands, and savannah plains dotted with wildlife. Enjoy a full day of game drives, watching elephants resting under baobabs, lions lounging in tall grass, zebras and wildebeest grazing in the open, and countless bird species around the Tarangire River. This park is also a stronghold for rare species such as the oryx and the long-necked gerenuk. By late afternoon, you’ll head to your lodge, where you can relax, enjoy a warm dinner, and take in the sounds of the African wilderness.

After breakfast, you will depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro highlands and past Maasai villages that add cultural color to your journey. As you descend into the Serengeti, the horizon opens into miles of golden plains that seem to stretch endlessly. After arriving in the afternoon, you’ll embark on your first game drive in this world-famous ecosystem—home to the Big Five and the Great Migration. Expect to encounter prides of lions, cheetahs on the hunt, giraffes wandering gracefully across the plains, and large herds of grazing animals such as zebras and wildebeest. As the sun sets, you’ll make your way to your tented camp for dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti.

Wake up to the sound of birds and the stunning Serengeti sunrise before setting out for a full day of exploration. Today is dedicated to discovering the rich diversity of the Serengeti. Your guide will track wildlife activity based on the season and animal movement—whether it's predators preparing for a hunt, elephants migrating across the plains, or playful hyenas interacting around their dens. The Serengeti is known for its dense populations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards, and today offers excellent chances to observe them in action. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your game drive through kopjes, riverine forests, and open plains filled with wildlife. As evening approaches, return to your camp for a warm dinner and storytelling under the stars.

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy one last morning game drive as you exit the Serengeti, giving you one more chance to spot any wildlife you may have missed. The journey continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will descend 600 meters into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the eighth wonder of the world. The crater floor is a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, hyenas, and the rare and endangered black rhino. The scenery is breathtaking—lush grasslands, shimmering lakes, and acacia forests create one of the most beautiful wildlife settings in Africa. After an unforgettable day of game viewing, ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at your lodge overlooking this incredible natural wonder.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park set beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Known for its tree-climbing lions, lush groundwater forest, pink flamingos, elephants, and hippos, Manyara offers a completely different landscape from previous parks. Enjoy a half-day game drive exploring the lake shore, birdlife, monkeys, and wildlife-rich woodlands.

Later in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha where the safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel or airport.
